A three-time All-Star, National League Rookie of the Year and Silver Slugger Award winner, Corbin Carroll has helped lead the Arizona Diamondbacks back to national prominence while producing one of the most remarkable starts in modern baseball.
In 2025, Corbin became the first player in D-backs history to record a 30-home run, 30-stolen base season, earning his first Silver Slugger Award and finishing sixth in National League MVP voting. His 2026 season has elevated him into historic company. Corbin became the first player in Major League Baseball history with at least 80 home runs, 40 triples and 120 stolen bases in his first 500 career games. A three-time All-Star before his 26th birthday, he is also the first player in D-backs history to earn three All-Star selections at age 25 or younger. He recently surpassed the franchise record for career triples, a testament to the rare combination of speed, power and athleticism.
Yet what makes Corbin truly exceptional is not simply what he accomplishes between the lines, it is how he chooses to use his success beyond them. Through his CC7 Charitable Fund, in partnership with the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation, he has donated more than $150,000 to projects and programs that create opportunities for children throughout Arizona.
Corbin has become a champion for D-backs RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities), mentoring young athletes who often face financial barriers to participation. He surprised RBI players with a Major League clubhouse experience featuring personalized lockers, Nike uniforms and professional equipment, giving every participant an unforgettable experience.
When Corbin learned that Arizona student-athletes were arriving at high school tryouts without proper footwear, he immediately acted, providing 160 pairs of new Nike cleats.
His commitment to education is equally impactful. In partnership with the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation, Corbin helped create a STEM literacy initiative that placed 10,000 STEM-themed storybooks into the hands of elementary students. Featuring Corbin as a STEM superhero, the book encourages children to embrace curiosity, creativity and perseverance while exploring science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Corbin personally visits schools to read with students.
When Corbin learned that Dalton, a young baseball fan battling a life-threatening heart condition, returned to the Little League field after months of treatment, Corbin surprised Dalton by attending his game.
He also visited Chris, a local baseball player whose life changed in an instant after a devastating automobile accident left him partially paralyzed. Corbin visited Chris in the hospital, encouraging him to finish high school and never lose sight of his dreams. Today, Chris is preparing to begin college -- a testament to his resilience and the power of someone believing in you when it matters most.
Throughout the year, Corbin generously shares his time through youth clinics, Boys & Girls Clubs visits, school visits, holiday events and community appearances. He approaches every interaction with genuine kindness, humility and gratitude.
Despite his accomplishments, Corbin stays remarkably grounded. He consistently redirects praise to his teammates, coaches, family and community. His quiet confidence, authenticity and servant leadership have earned the respect of teammates, colleagues and fans alike.
Roberto Clemente believed that greatness is measured not only by athletic achievement, but by a player's commitment to improving the lives of others.
For his historic accomplishments on the field, his unwavering dedication to serving others, and the humility and integrity with which he represents the Arizona Diamondbacks and Major League Baseball, the Arizona Diamondbacks are proud to nominate Corbin Carroll for the 2026 Roberto Clemente Award.
Corbin is the absolute best of what it means to wear a D-backs uniform. He is an extraordinary player, an even better teammate and a champion for the next generation. In every sense, he carries forward the enduring legacy of Roberto Clemente.
