D-backs RBI Clinics

Some of life's greatest lessons can be learned on a sports field. Leadership, teamwork, perseverance and sportsmanship can be taught alongside great coaches, mentors, teammates and friends.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are proud to stand beside Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church to create a memorable and meaningful baseball outreach and training event targeting aspiring young athletes. The D-backs RBI Program offers free baseball and softball clinics for boys and girls age 6-16.

By offering a free baseball experience that provides quality instruction and access to great baseball equipment, aspiring young athletes will learn the baseball fundamentals, sports skills and confidence to play ball!

The D-backs RBI coaches will host a clinic to teach the fundamentals of baseball training and skills clinic for 50 youth, ages 6-16. Coaches will address the needs of kids that may be picking up a glove for the very first time as well as aspiring baseball players that are ready to Play Ball!

The young athletes will learn the importance of proper warm-up, hitting techniques, throwing mechanics and overall sportsmanship.

On Saturday, April 15 and June 10, the Arizona Diamondbacks and Nike will host immersive D-backs camps for the members of Boys & Girls Club and Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church on how to play the Jackie Robinson Way. Hosted by the D-backs Academy and RBI team, these free outreach clinics will take place with stations, exhibition games, and post event lunch. In preparation for the April clinic, the D-backs Branch will host a viewing of the movie “42” on the field at the D-backs Branch Boys & Girls Club the Friday night before with a Q&A session from the D-backs Academy Coaches & RBI team.
