Legends for Youth Clinic at Babcock Park
"A former Major League Baseball player's greatest reward is watching a young player leave the field a better player, but more importantly, a better person."
- MLBPAA
The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) was formed in 1982 in order to promote the game of baseball, raise money for charity, inspire and educate youth through positive sport images and protect the dignity of the game through former players. A nonprofit organization, the MLBPAA establishes a place where a player's drive for excellence and achievement on the field can continue long after they take their last steps off the professional diamond.
Over the year, The MLBPAA invites athletes to participate in free Legends for Youth Clinic where athletes will get one-on-one coaching involving the fundamentals of the game and life skills from former MLB players.
Athletes rotate through skill stations and receive personalized instruction in hitting, fielding, pitching, base running, and game IQ. Through proper instruction form former MLB players, athletes that attend learn leadership, teamwork, goal setting, and practical life skills that ensure their success on and off the field.
