Injury: Left calf soreness
IL date: July 25
Expected return: August or September
Status: Exited a July 24 game against the Dodgers due to a recurrence of the left calf discomfort he had been feeling since at least July 16. Received an MRI the next day, which revealed the strain. Is expected to miss more time than the 2.5 weeks he sat out with a right calf strain in April. (updated July 25) More >>
RHP Clay Holmes
Injury: Fractured right fibula
IL date: May 16 (60-day IL)
Expected return: Late July
Status: Began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Syracuse on July 23 and will make one more Minor League start on or around July 27. Should return five or six days after that, though it remains to be seen if that will be with the Mets or another team. (updated July 24) More >>
1B Mark Vientos
Injury: Fractured right hand
IL date: July 10 (10-day IL)
Expected return: Late August
Status: Struck on the right hand by a 92.2 mph Michael Wacha sinker on July 9. Will not require surgery but is expected to miss six to eight weeks. (updated July 11) More >>
RHP Dedniel Núñez
Injury: Right elbow sprain
IL date: Feb. 15 (60-day IL)
Expected return: 2027
Status: Began a Minor League rehab assignment on June 25 and advanced to Triple-A Syracuse on July 8. Could apply for an extension of his assignment beyond the 30-day limit, which is often granted for pitchers recovering from Tommy John surgery. (updated July 11) More >>
RHP Austin Warren
Injury: Right forearm strain
IL date: July 8 (15-day IL)
Expected return: Late July
Status: Felt discomfort during a July 7 appearance against the Royals and went for an MRI the next day, which revealed no ligament damage. Will rest for around five days before restarting a throwing program. (updated July 9) More >>
RHP Justin Hagenman
Injury: Fractured rib
IL date: March 14 (60-day IL)
Expected return: Possibly July
Status: Fractured a rib during a March 5 game against the Nationals. Was initially given a 4-8-week timeline but was still not throwing as of an early June update. (updated June 1)

Injury: Recovery from Tommy John surgery
IL date: Feb. 12 (60-day IL)
Expected return: 2027
