Yanks to determine next steps for Stanton (calf) ahead of Rangers opener

April 26th, 2026

HOUSTON -- will require a stint on the injured list after missing his third consecutive game Monday, Yankees manager Aaron Boone said.

Stanton left Friday night’s game at Daikin Park with right calf tightness, which he began feeling while jogging from first to second base on a walk to Jazz Chisholm Jr.

The Yankees are 6-1 so far on their nine-game road trip after Monday night's 4-2 win over the Rangers at Globe Life Field.

Stanton, who missed 85 games a season ago, has played in 24 of the Yankees’ 29 games this year. He is slashing .256/.302/.422 with three home runs and 14 RBIs.
