Enjoyed his most productive Major League season, setting career highs in at-bats, hits, doubles, triples, RBI and batting average...Season was cut short due to left hamate fracture on Sept. 6...Had 12 multi-hit games this season after recording just eight in his career coming into the season...Finished the season .333/.395/.565 with seven doubles, three homers, 12 RBI and seven walks against left-handed pitching...Hit .316 with three doubles, a triple, two home runs, six RBI, five walks and three runs scored in 11 games from April 4 to June 4...Recorded a career-high four hits on May 21 vs. Detroit (4-for-4, HR, 2 2B, RBI, R)...Was a triple away from the cycle.

Made Washington’s Opening Day roster...Played in 27 games and hit .192 with a double, three homers, five RBI and nine walks before being optioned on June 28...Was recalled on Aug. 23 and remained with Washington through the end of the season...Hit .156 with three doubles, two homers and five RBI in 21 games in his second stint.

2021

Was acquired by the Nationals from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for left-handed pitcher Brad Hand on July 29...In 20 starts with Washington, recorded a .306/.449/.532 slash line with six doubles, a triple, two homers, 10 RBI, five hit by pitch, 11 walks and 11 runs scored...Hit his first career homer, a ninth inning go-ahead two-run home run on Aug. 7 at Atlanta (Smith)...Also homered on Aug. 17 vs. Toronto (Thornton) as a part of a 3-for-4, double, homer, three RBI, three runs against his former team...Made his Major League debut on June 8 at Chicago (AL), going 1-for-3 with a double...He appeared in 12 games with the Blue Jays across two Major League stints...Was rated by Baseball America as Toronto’s “Best Power Hitter” entering the 2021 season.

2020

Caught nine games in Spring Training while going 3-for-11 (.273) with two doubles and a home run...Invited to Summer Camp at Rogers Centre in July before spending the regular season at the club’s alternate training site in Rochester, NY....Added to Toronto’s 40-man roster at the end of the season to protect him from the Rule 5 Draft.

2019

Hit .261 with 18 doubles, two triples, 14 homers, 51 RBI, 46 walks and 58 runs scored in 100 games...His 14 homers were tied for sixth in Toronto’s system while his 46 walks ranked ninth.

2018

Spent his first full professional season at Single-A Dunedin...Led the club with 50 walks.

2017

Joined short-season Vancouver after the draft and helped them to a Northwest League championship.
