Graduated from Corona High School where as a senior he was named the 2015 Corona High School Male Athlete of the Year and earned 2015 First-Team All-State and All-Section honors...Always carries a book on him. Gets a lot of reading done during flights and when he has downtime. Says the best book he read in 2024 was All My Octobers by Mickey Mantle...The Yankees have actually drafted both Beck brothers, taking Tristan in 2017 (he returned to school) and Brendan in the second round in 2021 (he signed)...Brendan missed all of the 2024 MiLB season due to injury...Beck was a two-year starting quarterback during high school...He now enjoys throwing the football around pre-game to help loosen up his arm before getting into his baseball routine...Considers Smucker’s Uncrustables an essential item and a perfect snack...Has between 5-9 every day (either grape or strawberry)...Loves coffee. The first thing he does when he gets to the ballpark is grab a cold brew and pour it over ice. He has anywhere from 7-10 cups of coffee a day...Tristan’s mom Lucy (class of 1984) and older sister Megan (class of 2010) both attended Stanford. The Beck brothers helped their sister move in as a freshman. The tradition continued in 2016 with Tristan and in 2018 with younger brother, Brendan. The two were teammates for one season (2018) before Tristan got drafted.

2024

Made seven appearances for SF (one start) and worked 16.0 innings with three earned runs (1.69 ERA) and 14 strikeouts...Threw at least two innings in five of his seven games. Was activated off the 60-day IL on Sept. 1...Missed the first 137 games of the season after undergoing surgery to remove an aneurysm from his upper right arm on March 4 at Stanford Medical Center...The surgery was performed by Dr. Jason Lee...Made five rehab starts for Triple-A Sacramento, logging a 7.90 ERA (12er, 13.2ip) with 17 strikeouts and three walks. Beck had entered Spring Training with a chance to be a mainstay on SF’s Major League roster.

2023

Bounced back and forth between Triple-A Sacramento and the Majors being recalled five times...Appeared in 30 games as a reliever for SF, going 3-2 with a 3.33 ERA (27er, 73.0ip) and a .235 opponents average...Made three starts for the Giants and posted a 0-1 record with a 7.50 ERA (10er, 12.0ip) and a .340 opponents average...In his first career MLB start on August 27 vs...Atlanta, Beck retired the first 12 batters he faced through 4.0-perfect innings before allowing five-consecutive batters to reach base to start the 5th inning...Recorded his first career save on May 26 at Milwaukee, pitching the final 3.1 innings in SF’s 15-1 win...He was 3-3 with a 5.88 ERA (17er, 26.0ip), 26 strikeouts and a 1.42 WHIP in nine games (six starts) for the River Cats.

2022

Worked a total of 111.1 innings in 2022, by far the most he's thrown in any of his professional seasons in his career...was limited to 37.1 innings due to injury in 2021, did not pitch in 2020 and threw 81.1 innings in 2019...Struck out 116 batters in his 111.1 innings (9.38 K/9ip)…Began the season with Double-A Richmond and went 0-1 with a 2.57 ERA in three games started...struck out 19 batters over 14.0 innings of work...Promoted to Triple-A Sacramento at the end of April and spent the rest of the season there...Posted a 5-8 record with a 5.64 ERA over 20 games (19 starts) with the River Cats...Had a 3.32 ERA (14er, 38.0ip) over his final seven starts with Triple-A Sacramento...struck out 37 batters in his 38.0 innings.

2021

Tristan was a non-roster invite to Giants Spring Training in 2021 but only saw action in one Spring Training game.

2020

Did not play due to the COVID-19 pandemic but did participate in the Fall Instructional League.

2019

Struck out 90 in 81.1 minor league innings and was selected to participate in the AFL. In six starts with Scottsdale he went 1-2 with a 3.63 ERA (9er, 22.1ip) with 23 strikeouts.
