Had a breakout campaign in his first season with the Giants in 2021. Set career bests in virtually every offensive category: hits (85), runs (52), 2B (17), 3B (three), HR (18), RBI (56) and walks (33)...Earned the nickname Late Night LaMonte after his late-game heroics...Wade had six game-tying or go-ahead hits in the ninth inning in 2021, the most by any MLB player in a season in the last 40 years (Stats, LLC)...Won the 2021 Willie Mac Award, an annual honor bestowed upon the most inspirational player on the team, as voted upon by Giants players, coaches, training staff, clubhouse staff and the fans...The award was established in 1980 in honor of legend and Hall of Famer Willie McCovey.
