Finished his third season with the Marlins going 10-10 with a 3.63 ERA (72 ER/178.2 IP) in a career-high 32 starts, also setting career highs in innings pitched, strikeouts (208), wins (10) and quality starts (17). His 208 strikeouts marked the most by a left-handed starter in Marlins history, surpassing the previous record held by Al Leiter (200, 1996). Finished with 13 starts of eight plus strikeouts; ranked third among NL pitchers this season. Held a team season-high and career-high 26.1 scoreless innings streak from June 18 to July 9. Marked the third-most strikeouts by any Marlins starter in a single season, and the ninth 200-strikeout season in club history. Made 12 starts with the Marlins in 2021 after being acquired from Oakland at the trade deadline in exchange for OF Starling Marte... Went 4-2 with a 5.68 ERA at loanDepot park and 0-3 with a 9.00 ERA on the road... Pitched 5.2 innings or more in three starts and allowed no more than three runs before from Aug. 29-Sept. 9.
