Entered the 2023 season rated No. 29 on Baseball America's Reds Top 40 Prospects list...Spent most of the season at Louisville, his first stint at Class AAA (26g, 1gs, 2-1, 4.83)...Made his Major League debut with 11 appearances during three stints with the Reds (2g from 4/15-4/18, 8g from 4/27-6/20, 1g from 9/4-9/5)...His second stint with the Reds included a 28-day appearance on the 15-day injured list with a right ankle contusion (5/14-6/10) and a 47-day appearance on the IL with right shoulder pain (6/21-8/6)...Three times threw at least 2.0 innings, including a high of 2.1 innings on 4/18 vs TB...overall, four times threw more than 1.0 inning...Retired the first batter in five of his 11 appearances...inherited eight base runners, three scored...In the 13-0 win on 4/15 vs Phi, threw scoreless eighth and ninth innings in his Major League debut...Was the first of 16 Reds players to make Major League debuts in 2023...In the 3-2 win on 4/29 at Oak, in his third career appearance, threw a hitless eighth inning and earned his first Major League victory when the Reds scored two runs in the ninth to erase a 2-1 deficit.

At Class A Cedar Rapids and Class AA Wichita combined to finish 2-6, 4.80 with three saves and 92 strikeouts in just 86.1 innings over 16 starts and 17 relief appearances... Missed half of July with a right elbow contusion... Recorded at least one strikeout in each of his first 32 appearances, a streak snapped in his final game of the season... Was added to the Twins' 40-man roster on 11/15, just three days before he was traded to the Reds for IF Kyle Farmer.
