Grew up idolizing Lakers great Kobe Bryant...Looked up to Cal Ripken Jr. because he was the "Iron Man" who never missed a game…His favorite shortstops were Brandon Crawford and Francisco Lindor for their defensive prowess...Began his youth career as a pitcher before switching to shortstop at the suggestion of his late cousin, Yewri Guillen, who he looked up to and learned the game from…Guillen played shortstop in the Nationals organization but tragically lost his life at age 18 in 2011 in the Dominican Republic...Perdomo credits Guillen with instilling the love for the game in him as well as developing his maturation and work ethic...Since reaching the Majors, he returns to his native Dominican Republic in the offseason and gives out large donations of baseball equipment to youngsters in his community...In addition, in the first week of January, he partners with a local community organizer to deliver toys and food at his local church in celebration of Three Kings Day (Día de los Reyes Magos).

THE QUARTERBACK OF THE D: D-backs Manager Torey Lovullo has consistently called Perdomo “the quarterback of the defense,” and emphasized his importance as an emotional leader on the team. “I put a lot on him as the shortstop of our ball club. If I complain to one infielder, it’s going to be him. If I complain to the group, I’m going to be talking to him. I have certain demands of him and I’m very critical of him. CHILDREN’S BOOK DEBUT: In 2025, was featured as a guest main character in a D-back/Honeywell co-branded STEM children’s animated book, “Great Moon Trap Escape!,” which was distributed to local schools throughout Phoenix...It marked the first time that the children’s book was produced as a bilingual book, featuring the storyline in both English and Spanish...In August, as part of Honeywell’s Launch Back-to-School Backpack Program, he visited a local elementary and distributed backpacks, school supplies and his cartoon storybook to students.
