Dalton Wayne Rushing…parents are Melissa and Joe Rushing…has two siblings, Chandler and Logan…played three years at the University of Louisville where in 2022 he was named to the All-ACC Second Team…majored in Sports Administration…as the 40th overall pick in 2022, was the Dodgers’ third Louisville draftee taken in the top 40 overall over a seven-year stretch, along with Will Smith (32nd overall, 2016) and Bobby Miller (29th overall, 2020).

2025

Made his Major League debut on May 15 vs. the Athletics, starting behind the dish and collecting his first big league hit with a 110-mph single in the third inning…finished the day 2-for-4 with three runs scored and a walk...Knocked his first MLB home run off the Yankees’ Pablo Reyes on May 31 in the eighth inning, a 393-foot shot to right field…first homer off a non-position player came Aug. 12 on the road vs. the Angels, in the second inning off Victor Mederos...Reached base in all four plate appearances June 22 vs. Washington (single, double, two walks)…Played 41 games at catcher, starting 37, and eight games at first base, starting one (Sept. 26)…Appeared in one at-bat of Game 3 of the NLDS as a pinch-hitter, striking out.

2024

Began the season with Double-A Tulsa before being promoted to Triple-A Oklahoma City ahead of their Aug. 6 game... In 77 games with Double-A Tulsa, he slashed .270/.378/.512 with 17 home runs and 59 RBI... With Triple-A Oklahoma City, hit .273 (38-for-139) in 37 games with 15 extra-base hits and 26 RBI... Named the Branch Rickey Minor League Player of the Year, awarded to the top hitter in the organization... Awarded Baseball America Minor League All-Star and MiLB Prospect Second Team with Triple-A Oklahoma City as well as Texas League Post-Season All-Star and Texas League Top MLB Prospect with Double-A Tulsa.

2023

Played the whole season with Advanced-A Great Lakes (89 G)...Slashed .228/.404/.452 with a .856 OPS with 18 doubles, a triple, 15 home runs and 53 RBI...Appeared in 46 games (45 starts) behind the plate, making seven errors over 462 total chances in 384.1 innings and catching 17 runners stealing…also appeared in 23 games at first base...Named MiLB Organization All-Star for the Dodgers, as well as Midwest League Player of the Week...Selected for the 2023 Futures Game, was hit by a pitch in his only at-bat Slashed .265/.436/.503 slashline in 46 games in the first half of the season…spent some time on the injured list from June 14-23…hit .266 (17-for-64) off of lefties compared to .217 (49-for-226) off righties.

2022

Began his first professional season with Rookie-level ACL Dodgers before being assigned to Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Aug. 4...In his two games with Rookie-level ACL Dodgers, went 0-for-5 with one walk...With Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, spun a .424/.539/.778 slashline with a 1.317 OPS and 11 doubles, eight home runs and 30 RBI in 28 games...Launched his first professional home run in his first game with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Aug. 4, finishing the day 2-for-3 with a run, a home run, an RBI and a walk Named California League Player of the Week on Aug. 28 and California League Player of the Month for August after slashing .424/.539/.778 slashline in 21 games.
