Hoffmann spent most of his campaign with Triple-A Omaha (25 games, 11 starts) while also appearing in one start for Double-A Northwest Arkansas and three rehab games for the ACL Royals...Pitched in three Major League Spring Training games (one start), posting a 1.93 ERA (one ER in 4.2 IP) and allowing six hits with four strikeouts and no walks...Made five starts for Triple-A Omaha from March 31-April 16 before being placed on the injured list...Made three rehab starts for the ACL Royals, working 6.0 innings with only run unearned run allowed from May 21-June 1, and returned to Omaha on June 6...Pitched in five games in July (one for Double-A Northwest Arkansas) and struck out 16 batters in 15.1 innings of work, before struggling in August by allowing nine runs in 13.0 innings (6.23 ERA)...Finished his campaign with six relief appearances, covering 9.2 innings and striking out 10.
