Graduated from Division 3 Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. with a bachelor’s degree in economics...Was selected to the University Athletic Association All-Conference First Team in each of his three seasons of collegiate baseball (2019-21)...Named UAA Rookie of the Year in 2019...Graduated from Lake Forest (Ill.) High School...In addition to baseball, wrestled for four years in high school and played football for one year...Supports the HardyStrong Foundation in its fight against stomach cancer in memory of his friend and former college roommate, Justin Hardy.

2025

Made his Major League debut, playing in 136 games for MIL and batting .256 (114-for-445) with 25 doubles, 11 HR, 60 runs scored, 53 RBI and 18 SB...Led 2025 NL rookies in SB and ranked top five in runs (second), hits (third), doubles (third), HR (fourth), total bases (tfourth, 172), RBI (T-4th) and XBH (fifth, 36)...Was HBP 24 times, most in the NL and second most in MLB...Ranked in MLB’s 98th percentile in SO% (9.9), 96th in whiff % (13.0) and 95th in squared-up % (33.3)...Began the season with Triple-A Nashville, batting .278 (15-for-54) with 12 runs scored, five doubles and two home runs in 13 games...Was recalled to MIL and made his ML debut that night vs. ATH, starting at 3B and going 2-for-4 with a run scored...Recorded his first career hit with an infield single off J.T. 2024

Spent most of the season at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and batted .287 with 10 HR, 60 RBI and 29 SB in 82 games...Also appeared in one game at Class-A Tampa (rehab) and seven games at Double-A Somerset...Was on the injured list from May 24-July 24 with a fractured right wrist...Suffered the injury on May 23 vs. Syracuse (hit by pitch)...Following the season, played for the Salt River Rafters in the Arizona Fall League and was Breakout Prospect of the Year after batting .312 (29-for-93) with five HR, 21 RBI and 29 SB (AFL record) in 24 games...Was an Arizona Fall League All-Star...His 50 SB over two seasons (2023-24) are an Arizona Fall League record for a career.

Combined with High-A Hudson Valley and Double-A Somerset to hit .304/.395/.427 (77-for-253) with 46 R, 17 doubles, one triple, four HR, 25 RBI, 26 BB and 36 SB in 69 games…his 36 SB were tied for the fourth-most among Yankees minor leaguers…began the season with Hudson Valley, batting .333 (26-for-78) with 20 R, five doubles, 8 RBI, 14 BB and 15 SB in 22 games…was promoted to Somerset on 5/9 and hit .291 (51-for-175) with 26 R, 12 doubles, one triple, four HR, 17 RBI, 12 BB and 21 SB in 47 games… was named an MiLB.com Organization All-Star…following the season, hit .353/.456/.588 (30-for-85) with 18 R, nine doubles, one triple, three HR, 12 RBI, 14 BB and 21 SB in 23 games for the Mesa Solar Sox in the Arizona Fall League…led the AFL with 21 stolen bases… was named to the AFL Fall Stars Game…was also named the AFL “Hitter of the Week” for Week 6.

2022

Combined with Single-A Augusta and High-A Rome to hit .241/.352/.372 (92-for-382) with 72R, 22 doubles, two triples, 8HR, 62RBI, 50BB and 31SB in 105 games.

2021

 Made his professional debut with Rookie-level FCL Braves, hitting .268 (15-for-56) with 8R, 1 triple, 6RBI, 5BB and 12SB in 17 games.
