Full name is Carlos Luis Narváez Olivo...His cousin, Omar Narváez has played in parts of the last 10 Major League seasons (2016-25)...Participated in the Red Sox Rookie Development Program in January 2025...The program included two workouts daily, seminars focused on assimilation into Major League life on and off the field, an RBI clinic with the Red Sox Foundation, and a visit to Boston Children’s Hospital...Attended Fenway Fest in January 2026, signing autographs and taking pictures with fans and participating in panels.

2025

Made his first career Opening Day roster...Finished sixth in AL Rookie of the Year voting...Started 106 games as the catcher and one as the designated hitter...Led MLB catchers in runners caught stealing (32), and ranked tied third in DRS (11, first in AL)...Ranked among AL rookie leaders in doubles (first, 27), XBH (second, 42), HR (third, 15) and RBI (fifth, 50)...Batted .273 (53-for-194) with an .820 OPS in 59 games at Fenway Park, compared to a .211 AVG (44-for-209) and .637 OPS in 59 road games...Hit .273 (69-for-253) in 73 games before the All-Star break and .187 (28-for-150) in 45 games after the break.

2024

Made four starts at catcher for the Yankees and went 3-for-13 (.231) with two walks at the plate in six games... In 96 games for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in ‘24, batting .254 (85-for-335) with 20 doubles, 11 home runs and 58 RBI. His hits (85), RBI (58), 2B (20) and runs scored (54) with Triple-A were all career highs in a single season. Made his Major League debut with NYY on 7/20/24 vs. TB, entering the game as a defensive replacement at catcher in the ninth inning (1-for-1)…Recorded his first career Major League hit with a single in the ninth. Made his first career start at catcher on 7/23 at New York-NL (0-for-2). At the Triple-A level, made 58 starts as the catcher, 23 as the designated hitter and 12 at first base. Following the 2024 season, played for the Cardenales de Lara of the Venezuelan Winter League...in 23 G, hit .377 (29-for-77) with a 1.118 OPS, 7 2B, 5 HR and 18 RBI.

2023

Combined with Double-A Somerset and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to hit .239 (82-for-343) with 48R, 18 doubles, 12HR, 44RBI, 64BB, 9HP and 6SB in 100 games…combined to throw out 17-of-81 (21.0%) attempted base stealers...Began the season with Double-A Somerset, batting .235 (12-for-51) with 7R, 5 doubles, 2HR, 5RBI, 7BB and 1SB in 16 games...Was promoted to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on 5/9 and hit .240 (70-for-292) with 41R, 13 doubles, 10HR, 39RBI, 57BB and 5SB in 84 games...Following the season, hit .256 (33-for-129) with 20R, 9 doubles, 2HR, 24RBI and 17BB in 40 games with the Cardenales de Lara of the Venezuelan Winter League...Following the season, was tabbed by Baseball America “Best Defensive Catcher” in the Yankees system.

2022

Spent the entire season with High-A Hudson Valley, hitting .194 (48-for-248) with 37 R, 12 doubles, one triple, 11 HR, 35 RBI, 45 BB and four SB in 79 games.

2021

In 76 games between Low-A Tampa and High-A Hudson Valley, hit .253 (66-for-261) with 53R, 9 doubles, 9HR, 43RBI, 48BB and 3SB.

Did not play due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2019

In 43 games with short season Single-A Staten Island, hit .265 (39-for-147) with 17R, 6 doubles, 1HR, 13RBI, 17BB and 1SB.

Spent the majority of the season with Rookie-level Pulaski, hitting .280 (30-for-107) with 18R, 3 doubles, 1HR, 9RBI and 24BB in 32 games…appeared in three games for short-season Single-A Staten Island (0-for-9).

Hit .255 (27-for-106) with 13R, 1 double, 1HR, 11RBI and 15BB in 32 games with Rookie-level FCL Yankees West.
