Spent the entire season with Double-A Somerset, going 2-7 with a 3.90 ERA (115.1IP, 106H, 56R/50ER, 41BB, 120K, 11HR) in 25 starts...Was tied for third among Yankees farmhands in games started, fifth in innings pitched and eighth in strikeouts...Was second in the Eastern League in ERA, fourth in opponents’ batting average, tied for fourth in games started, fifth in WHIP, eighth in innings pitched and ninth in strikeouts...Was named the Eastern League “Pitcher of the Week” from 5/9-15 after not allowing a hit over 5.2 scoreless innings on 5/13 at Altoona (2BB, 5K)...Following the season, was tabbed by Baseball America as the Yankees’ No. 9 prospect and labeled as having the “Best Curveball” among Yankees farmhands.
