Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) was enacted to develop, implement, and enforce standards for accessibility with respect to goods, services, accommodation, employment, facilities and premises throughout Ontario.

Automated Teller Machines (ATMs)

Toronto-Dominion (TD) Bank ATMs are available throughout Rogers Centre and are equipped with Audio Guidance that provides instructions on how to use the machines. A headphone jack is required to use the ATM Audio Guidance feature.

Closed captioning of in game announcements is available at Rogers Centre.

Concessions

Food and beverage attendants provide in-seat sales and service of a selection of drinks and snacks. Fan assistance is available at any concession locations upon request

Electrical Outlets

Fans are welcome to charge their wheelchairs and other items required for accessibility at Rogers Centre Fan Services locations.

Evacuations

In the event of an emergency, Rogers Centre and Toronto Blue Jays security and event staff have been trained and instructed to assist fans in evacuating the stadium. In such an event, fans are asked to remain calm and follow instructions given via the public address system, uniformed event staff, security, police and medical personnel.

During emergencies, fans should not use elevators and will instead be directed to exit Rogers Centre using the stairs or ramps. Staff are available to assist those requiring support. Fans are also encouraged to be aware of their location inside Rogers Centre at all times and to identify the two exits located nearest to their seats.

Fan Assist

Fans are invited to make use of the FAN ASSIST program if they have an issue in their seating section or have a question related to their experience. The program enables guests to report issues or concerns, ask for information or call for assistance in a discreet and convenient manner.

In order to receive assistance, send a text message to 647-559-0060 using your mobile phone and include a description of your issue or question along with your seating section, row and seat. Participation in this service is free of charge; however, standard carrier text messaging and data charges may apply.

Please note cell phone numbers that repeatedly send messages which are deemed fraudulent or irrelevant may be prevented from communicating in the future.

Fan Services Locations

Guests are encouraged to visit any open Fan Services location in order to check any strollers or larger items, receive assistance related to lost persons or items and make other general inquiries.

First Aid

Fans requiring first aid are urged to contact any Rogers Centre or Toronto Blue Jays staff member or to visit one of our Fan Services or first aid locations.

A physician and registered nurse is available on-site during all Toronto Blue Jays games and most other Rogers Centre events. Paramedics are also on-site for each public event at Rogers Centre.

Gates / Entrance Points

Although guests with accessible needs may enter Rogers Centre through any open gate, our designated accessible entrance is Gate 7, located on the south side of the building, close to Bremner Boulevard. Fans requiring accessible support are encouraged to enter through Gate 7. Elevators are also available at Rogers Centre Gates 3, 9 and 13.

Merchandise

All Jays Shop locations at Rogers Centre are wheelchair accessible. Jays Shop staff are always available and ready to assist fans at any time.

Outdoor Events

Oxygen Tanks

Fans requiring the use of an oxygen tank may bring it with them to Rogers Centre. Our Accessible Support Ushers are available at the Rogers Centre Gate 7 accessible entrance as required.

Security

All workers and guests are subject to a security inspection upon entry at all gates. Fans with accessible needs or conditions that may require a variation in the standard inspection process are encouraged to enter Rogers Centre through our accessible support entrance at Gate 7, or, alternatively, Gates 3, 9 or 13.

Sensory Inclusion

The Toronto Blue Jays are partnered with KultureCity, a leading non-profit organization, in an effort to make Rogers Centre sensory inclusive.

Sensory bags, equipped with noise canceling headphones, fidget tools, verbal cue cards and weighted lap pads will be available to all guests who may feel overwhelmed by the environment. Sensory Bags are available at any Fan Services booth.

For assistance during the game please approach any staff member or text Fan Assist at (647) 559-0060 for support. Rogers Centre has identified a few areas in the venue where fans can take a moment to reduce overwhelming noise levels:

Service Animals

Guide Dogs, Service Animals, and permitted Support Animals are welcome at all Rogers Centre events and Toronto Blue Jays games. Any fan accompanied by a Guide Dog, Service Animal, or Support Animal is required to present acceptable documentation upon entry and upon request within the ballpark evidencing that the animal is required due to a disability and/or is individually trained to do work for, perform a task for, or otherwise provide support to a person with a disability. Examples of acceptable documentation include a medical note from a regulated health professional or an identification card for people who are blind and use a guide dog.

Support Animals required by individuals due to a disability are also permitted at all Rogers Centre events and Toronto Blue Jays games, provided that (i) any such Support Animal does not pose a health and safety or security risk, (ii) acceptable documentation is provided upon entry and upon request within the ballpark evidencing that the Support Animal is required by and provides support to an individual due to a disability, and (iii) such Support Animal and its handler are otherwise in compliance with current Rogers Centre rules and policies, including the Service/Support Animal Code of Conduct. Examples of acceptable documentation include a medical note from a regulated health professional.

Fans with Guide Dogs, Service Animals and Support Animals are encouraged to purchase Accessible Seating. Fans wishing to sit in standard seats are kindly asked that their animal fits under the seats, and aisle seats are recommended.

Fans who are accompanied by Guide Dogs, Service Animals or Support Animals are required to maintain control of them and must keep them on a leash or harness at all times while in the ballpark, and otherwise comply with current Rogers Centre rules and policies, including the Service/Support Animal Code of Conduct.

Fans with Guide Dogs, Service Animals or Support Animals are permitted to enter Rogers Centre via all gates, but are encouraged to use Gate 7, our Designated Accessibility Entrance, located at the South end of the building.

Animals who do not provide any of the foregoing services or support functions and who are not accompanied by acceptable documentation will not be granted entry into the Rogers Centre. Pets are not permitted inside Rogers Centre. In addition, we have the right to deny admission or immediately remove a Guide Dog, Service Animal or Support Animal and its handler(s) from the ballpark, without refund, should a Service Animal or Support Animal and/or its handler(s) not adhere to any current Rogers Centre rules and policies, including the Service/Support Animal Code of Conduct.

Wheelchair Escorts

Accessible Support Ushers are available at our Gate 7 entrance to provide wheelchair escorts for fans who request support with entering at the gates, safely navigating to their seats and/or exiting at the end of the game/event.
