Los Angeles County has one of the lowest literacy rates in the country. Nearly four million people, more than half of Los Angeles County’s working-age population, have low literacy skills, severely impacting their higher education and employment ability.
To help address this literacy crisis in Los Angeles and motivate youth to build a lifelong love of reading, the Los Angeles Dodgers have partnered with the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation to execute the LA Reads literacy program.
Dodgers Reading Champions is a literacy program that tracks the time your children (grades K-8) spend reading and incentivizes students to record more than 30 minutes per day.
