Mark Walter is a visionary business leader and strategic investor, serving as Chairman and CEO of TWG Global, a diversified holding company focused on scaling innovative businesses across financial services, insurance, corporate and financial lending, merchant banking, AI and technology, sports, media, and entertainment. Under Walter’s leadership, TWG Global guides businesses with untapped potential to new levels of growth.
One of the most influential sports owners of his generation, Walter holds a portfolio featuring some of the world’s most iconic franchises—including the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Sparks, and Chelsea F.C. Walter is a founding financier of the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL), the first unified professional league in women’s hockey, and is a significant investor in the Billie Jean King Cup, the world’s largest international women’s team tennis competition. Walter has also built a significant presence in global motorsports series with holdings in Formula 1, NASCAR, INDYCAR, Formula E, and IMSA.
An active philanthropist, Walter is committed to strengthening communities, expanding opportunity and access, advancing education, and promoting conservation. Walter and his family have founded and funded numerous organizations to expand opportunities for underserved youth and, through the Walter Family Foundation, they are deeply engaged in global conservation—protecting endangered species, safeguarding wilderness areas, and establishing assurance populations.
Walter is a trustee of Creighton University, Northwestern University, the Explorers Club, the Field Museum, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and holds a B.A. from Creighton University and a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law.
