Bill Morningstar

President

Longtime Major League Baseball executive Bill Morningstar is the President of MLB Network and Executive Vice President of MLB sponsorship sales. Morningstar, who led the advertising sales team that helped launch MLB Network in 2009 before joining the Commissioner’s Office in 2013, has oversight of all day-to-day operations of MLB Network. Morningstar also has oversight of all day-to-day operations of NHL Network, which has shared production facilities with MLB Network since 2015. Morningstar assumed oversight of MLB Network and NHL Network in December 2021.

Previously MLB’s Executive Vice President of Sponsorship Sales, Morningstar continues his sales oversight of MLB’s official partners, including T-Mobile, Chevy, Mastercard and Anheuser-Busch, plus sales for all MLB media properties like MLB Network, MLB.com, the 30 Club sites, MLB.tv, MLB apps, MLB International Sales, MiLB and Little League.

In his role at the Commissioner’s Office, Morningstar has overseen noteworthy activations showcasing and utilizing MLB Network content and production resources. In a continual effort to enhance the fan viewing experience, Morningstar and his team brought forth technology advancements including 5G batting practice content powered by T-Mobile at the 2021 All-Star Game and Game 1 of the 2020 World Series, plus NTT’s 2019 ALDS Game 3 Ultra Reality Viewing Party, and point-of-view footage powered by iON cameras at the 2016 All-Star Futures Game. Since 2018, MLB Network Showcase telecasts have featured several sponsored in-game enhancements, including the use of virtual signage and double-box ad formats for uninterrupted game coverage. With MLB Network as the production arm, additional integrations have included Statcast game telecasts powered by Google Cloud and original Business of Baseball roundtable programs presented by CohnReznick.

Prior to joining MLB Network for its launch in 2009, Morningstar served as Executive Vice President, Media Sales of The WB Television Network and played a significant role in launching The WB in 1994. While at WB, Morningstar worked with advertising agencies, media buying services and their clients, and was responsible for all network advertising revenues for The WB primetime, daytime, kids and digital. Prior to joining The WB in 1994, Morningstar was a Vice President in the network group at Grey Advertising.

Marc Caiafa

Senior Vice President of Production

Marc Caiafa is the Senior Vice President of Production for MLB Network.

Caiafa, who has oversight of all day-to-day content of MLB Network, has been instrumental in MLB Network’s production at Major League Baseball’s jewel events and field shoots. Since joining MLB Network for its launch in 2009, Caiafa has also led MLB Network’s coordination with all 30 clubs, including the booking of studio and on-site interviews with players, managers and front office personnel. Caiafa joined MLB Network as a Coordinating Producer in 2009 and most recently served as a Senior Coordinating Producer.

Prior to joining MLB Network, Caiafa worked at Major League Baseball Productions from 1999 to 2008 as a coordinating producer of field production, and for NBA Entertainment from 1997 to 1998. Caiafa attended Archbishop Molloy High School and graduated from Manhattan College in 1994.

Brent Fisher

Senior Vice President of Distribution, Affiliate Sales & Marketing

Brent Fisher is the Senior Vice President of Distribution, Affiliate Sales & Marketing for MLB Network.

Fisher, who joined MLB Network in 2008 as Senior Director of Distribution, Affiliate Sales & Marketing, is responsible for overseeing the relationship between the network and satellite, cable, and telco operators and for continuing to grow MLB Network's distribution.

Before joining MLB Network, Fisher spent five years in Affiliate Sales at NFL Network.

Fisher earned his master's degree in Management of Sports Industries from the University of New Haven in 2003.

Prior to attending the University of New Haven, Fisher spent four years playing professional basketball in Portugal, Israel and in the United States Basketball League.

Fisher earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University in 1998.

Tom Guidice

Senior Vice President of Remote Events

Tom Guidice is the Senior Vice President of Remote Events at MLB Network, where he oversees Broadcast and Remote Operations across both MLB Network and NHL Network. Working in Major League Baseball for the last 25 years, Guidice now oversees the technical and operational execution of all remote events, as well as production budgets, Ballpark Cam operations, vendor relationships, freelance technical crews and the development of set designs for remote broadcasts.

Guidice joined MLB Network ahead of the network’s historic January 2009 launch as Director of Remote Operations, overseeing operations for remote games, studio shows and jewel events. Guidice was promoted to Vice President of Remote Operations in 2015 and then to Senior Vice President of Remote Events in 2026, expanding his responsibilities to include oversight of Broadcast Operations.

Before joining the network, Guidice served as Senior Manager of Broadcasting for MLB International from 2001-08, where he managed and coordinated the operational needs of international broadcast rights holders on-site at MLB games and oversaw the technical and operational execution of world feeds for jewel events, including the World Series, All-Star Game, international MLB games and the World Baseball Classic.

Guidice began his career in baseball as an intern with The Baseball Network in 1994 before joining the NBC, ABC and MLB joint venture full-time as Coordinator of Network Operations from 1995-96. He then spent five years at ABC Sports from 1996-2001 as Production Manager of in-house operations, supporting Wide World of Sports, college football coverage and other in-house productions, while coordinating edit and control rooms and production personnel. Guidice graduated from St. John’s University, where he played football for four years. Guidice has three children, Tommy, Mia and Zac, and resides in New Jersey.

Peter J. Lops

Chief Financial Officer

Peter Lops is the Chief Financial Officer for MLB Network, where he oversees all financial operations, including long-term planning, budgeting, accounting and business analysis. He drives financial strategy and supports company-wide initiatives as MLB Network expands its media, digital and content platforms.

Lops brings over two decades of senior leadership experience across sports, media, entertainment and streaming. He most recently served as Head of Finance at MGM+, Amazon Prime Video’s premium streaming service. He led financial operations and strategic planning through Amazon’s acquisition and integration of MGM/MGM+, while guiding investment optimization and internal expansion. Before joining Amazon/MGM, Lops served as Chief Financial Officer of Sequential Brands Group, a brand management and licensing company, overseeing investor relations, capital structure management and transactions. He previously spent more than a decade at Viacom Media Networks, ultimately serving as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of the Content Distribution division, where he helped drive sustained revenue growth and led financial strategy on affiliate transactions.

Earlier in his career, Lops held finance leadership roles at FOX Television Stations, where he helped build the finance function for MyNetworkTV. At the NFL, he led financial planning, analysis for league business units and supported the launch of NFL Network. Lops began his career at Andersen LLP in New York and Sydney.

Lops earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business from Lafayette College.

Erick Van Tuyl

Senior Vice President of Business & Legal Affairs

Erick Van Tuyl is Senior Vice President of Business & Legal Affairs for MLB Network. Van Tuyl is responsible for overseeing all business and legal affairs matters for MLB Network and NHL Network, including distribution agreements, on-air talent agreements and program acquisition agreements, as well as counseling management in a wide array of legal fields.

Van Tuyl joined MLB Network as Director of Business & Legal Affairs in 2008 as part of the team that launched the network in a record 50 million households.

Prior to joining MLB Network, Van Tuyl was the Vice President of Business Affairs at Televisual MediaWorks/Turner Media Group, responsible for all day-to-day business and legal affairs matters for the company’s suite of eight television networks, its advertising agency and its interactive television group. Prior to his work with Televisual MediaWorks/Turner Media Group, Van Tuyl was Director of Business Affairs at Virgin Records America/Blue Note Records, a subsidiary of EMI Records, where he was responsible for drafting and negotiating various record label agreements, including artist recording agreements.

Van Tuyl graduated from Brooklyn Law School and Brandeis University.
