2027 DETROIT TIGERS RALLY CATS AUDITIONS

The Detroit Tigers are seeking dynamic, outgoing, well-spoken and talented individuals to join the 2027 Detroit Tigers Rally Cats!

Rally Cats are an integral part of the Tigers' game-day entertainment and serve as performers, fan engagement representatives and ambassadors of the Detroit Tigers organization throughout Metro Detroit.

We are looking for individuals who are energetic, professional, adaptable and passionate about creating memorable experiences for Tigers fans.

AUDITION PROCESS

The 2027 Rally Cats audition process will consist of three stages:

  1. Virtual Application
  2. Virtual Preliminary Round — By Invitation Only
  3. In-Person Auditions — By Invitation Only

Candidates will be evaluated throughout each stage of the process. Advancement to the next round is not guaranteed.

VIRTUAL APPLICATIONS

Applications Due: October 16, 2026

To be considered for the Detroit Tigers Rally Cats, applicants must submit all required application materials by the deadline.

Video Introduction

Your video introduction should give us the opportunity to get to know you beyond your resume and photos.

Tell us about yourself, your performance or entertainment experience, why you want to be a Rally Cat and what you feel you would bring to the team.

Keep your introduction energetic, professional and authentic.

Once virtual applications have closed, the Rally Cats selection team will review all submitted materials and make a round of cuts.

Applicants selected to advance will receive an email with instructions for the Virtual Preliminary Round.

VIRTUAL PRELIMINARIES

By Invitation Only

Video Submissions Due: November 6, 2026

Applicants selected to advance will receive two choreography videos via the email address provided during the application process.

Candidates will be required to:

  • Learn the provided choreography
  • Perform the choreography
  • Record their performance
  • Submit their video to rallycats@tigers.com

Candidates will have one week from receiving the choreography to complete and submit their virtual preliminary video.

Important:

The choreography introduced during the Virtual Preliminary Round will continue to be used throughout later stages of the audition process.

Candidates are expected to remember this choreography.

We will briefly review the choreography during later rounds, but we will not re-teach the choreography.

Virtual Preliminary Video Guidelines

  • Include your first and last name and "Virtual Preliminary Video" in the email subject line.
  • Wear form-fitting athletic attire and athletic shoes of your choice.
  • Hair and makeup should be performance ready.
  • Film in a well-lit space where your full body can be clearly seen.
  • Make sure your camera is positioned far enough away to capture the entire routine.
  • No speaking introduction is required for the Virtual Preliminary submission.

Once Virtual Preliminary submissions have closed, the Rally Cats selection team will review all videos and make another round of cuts.

Applicants selected to advance will receive an email with information regarding the In-Person Auditions.

IN-PERSON AUDITIONS

By Invitation Only

December 6, 2026

Applicants selected to advance to the final stage of the audition process will be invited to attend in-person auditions at Comerica Park.

Additional details, including the audition schedule, location, parking information, attire requirements and instructions, will be provided directly to candidates selected to attend.

All candidates invited to the in-person audition must be present. No exceptions will be made.

In-person auditions will provide candidates with the opportunity to demonstrate their:

  • Performance ability
  • Personality and enthusiasm
  • Fan interaction skills
  • Dance and rhythm ability
  • Ability to learn and perform choreography
  • Teamwork and communication
  • Ability to adapt to different situations
  • Knowledge of baseball and the Detroit Tigers

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Hiring for the Rally Cats will be conducted through an open audition process.

All candidates must complete the online application and submit all required materials by the applicable deadlines.

  • Virtual Preliminary video, if invited to that round

Photos submitted as part of the application process are non-returnable and may be used for identification purposes.

Candidates must be present for all required in-person audition rounds to remain eligible for consideration.

EXPECTATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Rally Cats are highly visible representatives of the Detroit Tigers organization. Successful candidates must demonstrate professionalism, confidence, reliability and the ability to perform in a fast-paced entertainment environment.

Candidates must:

  • Be able to perform activities and interact with fans on camera and in front of large crowds.
  • Have prior entertainment experience. Previous experience as a cheerleader, pep squad or drill team member, or formal dance training is preferred.
  • Possess outstanding and mature communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a positive, energetic and engaging personality.
  • Have the stamina and fitness level necessary to perform for extended periods, including in hot and humid summer conditions.
  • Be available to work a minimum of 40 Tigers home games throughout the 2027 MLB season.
  • Have a flexible schedule and be available for team meetings, games, appearances and special events, including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Be reliable, punctual and courteous.
  • Demonstrate strong listening skills and the ability to quickly understand and execute direction.
  • Be flexible and able to respond to changing situations with professionalism.
  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Reside in the within 100 miles of the Metro Detroit area.
  • Have reliable transportation.
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • Have knowledge of the game of baseball.
  • Have knowledge of the Detroit Tigers Baseball Club.
