ABOUT
About Junior Giants
Junior Giants, presented by Bank of America, is the flagship program of the Giants Community Fund and one of the largest MLB affiliated youth development programs in the country.
Through free, noncompetitive baseball and softball leagues across California, Nevada and Oregon, Junior Giants has created opportunities for young people to grow on the field, in the classroom and in their communities since 1994.
Each season, thousands of youth take the field in their neighborhoods to experience the joy of the game while learning lessons that will lead them to success off the field.
By the Numbers
Our Mission
Across the country, the rising cost of youth sports is putting the game out of reach for many families. At the same time, research shows that access to sports plays a powerful role in supporting young people’s physical and mental wellbeing.
Junior Giants was created to remove barriers to participation and ensure every kid has the opportunity to play, belong and grow through baseball and softball.
More Than a Game
Junior Giants uses baseball and softball as a platform to help young people develop the skills they need to succeed in life. The program removes barriers to participation by providing free registration, uniforms and equipment while creating a welcoming environment for players of all skill levels.
Each season also includes a character development curriculum that introduces players to the Four Bases of Character Development - confidence, integrity, teamwork and leadership.
