Tropicana Field Accessibility Guide

The Tampa Bay Rays are excited to offer information and resources for fans to ensure all visits to Tropicana Field are safe, welcoming, and inclusive!

A

ACCESSIBLE PARKING

ADA Accessibility & ADA Drop-Off

Lots 1 and 7 offer wheelchair-accessible parking just outside the gates, with the majority of the spaces located in Lot 7. All wheelchair accessible parking is van-accessible. Enter Lot 7 from either 3rd Ave South or 4th Ave South. Wheelchair accessible parking is subject to availability.

Additionally, there is a drop-off area in front of Gate 4, which is directly across from Lot 1 on 16th St. S. Please be advised that parking in the wheelchair accessible parking spaces in the Tropicana Field lots is monitored by the St. Petersburg Police Department and is subject to state laws and privileges. Tickets can be issued and/or privileges revoked in situations where the person to whom a wheelchair accessible parking placard or license plate has been issued is dropped off near the stadium and is not in the vehicle when it parks in a wheelchair accessible parking space.

AUNT FLOW

Complimentary Aunt Flow period products are available for all fans in the women's and gender-neutral restrooms.

DIETARY RESTRICTIONS

Outside Food & Beverage Policy

Outside food or beverage is not permitted, with the exception of one sealed, personal-sized bottle of water. Exceptions can be made for food specifically needed for medical reasons or childcare.

ELECTRICAL OUTLETS

There are limited electrical outlets throughout Tropicana Field. To check on availability and specifics, fans can head to Guest Services.

Located at Gates 1, 2, 4, and 6.

  • Gate 1 elevator stops: Gate 1, Cownose Clubhouse, Section 150
  • Gate 2 elevator stops: Gate 2, Section 132
  • Gate 4 elevator stops: DEX Home Plate Club, Section 101, Republic Draft Room & The Baldwin Group Club, Webull Suite Level
  • Gate 6 elevator stops: Gate 6, Section 131, Webull Suite Level, MaintenX SkyDeck

EMERGENCY EVACUATION

In the event of an emergency evacuation, stadium staff, video boards, and public address announcements will provide clear instructions to help all fans exit the stadium safely and efficiently. We ask that you remain calm and follow the guidance of staff members at all times.

ENTRY & PROHIBITED ITEMS

Gates

Gates open 90 minutes before first pitch for Monday-Friday Rays home games and two hours before first pitch on Opening Day and Saturday-Sunday Rays home games. All gates are wheelchair accessible.

Evolv: The Evolv Express security screening system uses sensor technology to detect security concerns. Fans can head through the system at a normal pace, carrying their phones and clear bags without stopping.

Prohibited Items

To promote a safe and enjoyable game experience, security screening is conducted before entering the ballpark. The following items are prohibited at Tropicana Field:

  • Bags that are not transparent or do not comply with the CLEAR-BAG POLICY
  • Hard-sided coolers, boxes, or cases of any size
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Outside food or drinks, except for one sealed bottle of water (20 ounces or less) per ticketed fan
  • Stainless steel, metal, ceramic, and glass bottles are not permitted. However, an empty plastic refillable cup, or an empty plastic refillable water bottle, is permitted for use at stadium hydration stations. This plastic item may have a lid and a straw
  • Weapons of any kind, including firearms, knives, or chemical sprays larger than .6 ounce
  • Fireworks or other explosives
  • Items that could be projectiles
  • Cameras with lenses longer than 12”
  • Bullhorns, percussion instruments, air horns, whistles, and other excessively loud noisemakers (The long-held tradition of small cowbells being allowed at Rays games continues.)
  • Bicycles, skateboards, roller blades, or hover boards
  • Sticks/Clubs, pom-poms with stick handles, poles, “selfie” sticks, or extenders
  • Aerosol Cans
  • Drones
  • Radio-controlled devices
  • Lasers
  • Audio speakers
  • Bats
  • Brooms over 36" long
  • Wrapped packages
  • Footwear with wheels
  • Clothing or signs with obscene or derogatory language or gestures
  • Pets, except service animals
  • Any item deemed to pose a risk to the health or safety of others or that cannot be thoroughly screened and cleared by security

Prohibited items will not be stored. If you have any of these items, they may be returned to your vehicle or discarded.

FIRST AID

First Aid presented by Orlando Health St. Petersburg can be found between Gates 3 and 4 on the 100 Level, behind home plate. The clinic is staffed by St. Petersburg Fire/Rescue Medical Team.

GUEST SERVICES

Guest Services is located at Gate 1, 3, 4, and the Maintex Skydeck. Stop by to pick up a birthday or first game button, check out a sensory bag, sign up for the Budweiser Designated Driver Program, inquire about lost or found items, or get help with anything else you may need. NURSING ROOM

A private room for nursing or pumping is available behind home plate at the Orlando Health Fan Care Clinic. A keypad door lock ensures privacy, and the room is sanitized after each use. Use code 33705 for access. For more information, please visit RaysBaseball.com/Nursing.

ON-FIELD ACTIVITIES

While attending a Tampa Bay Rays game, pre- and post-game on-field activities may be offered, including Kids Run the Bases Presented by RIPA, autograph sessions, and concerts. If your party cannot access the designated pathway, please notify stadium staff so they can redirect you and provide assistance.

RADIO BROADCASTS

Rays Radio

Rays Radio broadcasts all 162 games on 95.3 WDAE / AM 620, the MLB app, SiriusXM and streaming for free on iHeart Radio. Rays Radio can be heard in Spanish for all 162 games on WQBN 106.7 FM / 1300 AM in Tampa Bay and the MLB app.

ProWire

Fans can check-in via the MLB Ballpark app at Tropicana Field and select the “Rays Radio” icon on the Rays Team Page to utilize ProWire, a service that offers access to Rays radio feeds live in the app with no delays.

SENSORY SERVICES

Sensory Bags

Sensory bags are available at Guest Services to support fans who may experience sensory overload and enhance overall comfort during their visit. Bags are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and may be checked out by providing a valid photo ID. The sensory bags are equipped with items specifically chosen to help reduce sensory overload and enhance the comfort of fans, and include the following items:

  • Weighted Blanket
  • Noise-Cancelling Headphones
  • Cue Card Set
  • Sunglasses
  • Sand Hourglass
  • Fidget Cube, Fidget Spinner, and Fidget Tangle
  • Coloring Book with Crayons

Sensory Room

Through consultation with the University of South Florida’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD), the Sensory Room was designed to provide a safe space for anyone with sensory processing needs. You will find many fun items in this room that provide a safe and relaxing environment, while stimulating or calming specific senses. For more information, please visit RaysBaseball.com/Sensory.

Sensory Precautions

Please be advised that guests may experience in-park effects, including loud noises, bright lighting, smoke effects, and visual effects throughout the game.

SERVICE ANIMAL

Service animals trained to perform specific tasks for individuals with disabilities are welcome at Tropicana Field. Please note that they is a no-reentry policies at all gates, so if a fan requires access to a service animal relief area, they need to contact a staff member, who would be happy to escort you to the nearest convenient location outside the ballpark.

TAG A FAN

Guest Services locations at Gate 1, 3, and 4 offer the Tag A Fan safety feature. Caregivers may request a wristband to record contact information for a member of their party in case they become separated.

TEXTING

Keep Tropicana Field fan-friendly! Please contact the nearest Fan Host staff member if, for any reason, another guest is interfering with your enjoyment of the game. You may also text 727-594-0860 with your issue and location for assistance.

TICKET INFORMATION

Accessible and companion seating is available throughout Tropicana Field at a variety of price levels. Guests should indicate their need for accessible and/or companion seating when purchasing tickets to ensure appropriate accommodations.

Relocation

Fans who have purchased standard tickets but require accessible seating will need to exchange their tickets prior to arriving at the ballpark and before their ticket is scanned into the game. Please note that accessible seating is always subject to availability and therefore, exchange options may not be available in all price levels. Further, accessible seating tickets are subject to the same dynamic pricing changes as regular stadium seating.

  • Rays Season Members - Tampa Bay Rays Season Members wishing to exchange a ticket for a regular seat to a ticket for an accessible seat should contact their Season Member Services Specialist or email seasonmemberservices@raysbaseball.com 3 business days prior to the game date you plan to attend. Exchanges will be accommodated, subject to ticket availability, and upgraded price level charges may apply.
  • Fans with tickets transferred by a Rays Season Member - Fans who were transferred tickets by a Rays Season Member should contact 888-FAN-RAYS, 3 business days prior to the game you plan to attend, to inquire about accessible seating availability. Exchanges will be accommodated subject to ticket availability and upgraded price level charges may apply.
  • Third Party Purchases - Ticket exchanges will not be accommodated for fans with Tampa Bay Rays tickets that were not originally purchased directly from the Tampa Bay Rays.

Salute to Service Tickets - Fans who purchase or claim regular seat tickets through a Salute to Service offer and wish to exchange in to an accessible seats should contact 888-FAN-RAYS or email TicketServices@RaysBaseball.com 3 business days prior to the game date you plan to attend. Exchanges will be accommodated subject to ticket availability and upgraded price level charges may apply.

WATER FOUNTAINS

Water fountains are available throughout all levels of Tropicana Field along the concourse.

WHEELCHAIR SERVICES

Wheelchair Transport Services

The Rays are proud to provide a wheelchair transport service. The Rolling Rays are available at Gates 1 and 5 on a first-come, first-served basis. Wheelchair assistance is provided from the gate to your seat upon arrival and from your seat to the gate at the end of the game. Wheelchair transporters are not allowed to leave Tropicana Field to pick-up or deliver patrons outside of the gates. Wheelchairs are not available for rent or borrow for any portion of the game.

Wheelchair, Stroller, and Walker Parking

Wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, and other mobility devices are welcome at Tropicana Field. These devices will need to be parked at the 1st or 3rd Base Food Hall if they cannot be stored safely under the fan’s seat. The Tampa Bay Rays are not responsible for lost or damaged items. Wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, and other mobility devices are prohibited on escalators.
