The Salvation Army Bed and Bread Trucks make various stops throughout the city of Detroit, in the areas that demonstrate the most need. Every day, the trucks provide food to the hungry and homeless in Detroit. Tigers Wives joined Salvation Army staff to prepare and serve meals from the Bed & Bread Trucks as they toured the city on their daily routes.

The Detroit Tigers players and their wives are pleased to give back to the community through various volunteer opportunities, community visits and fundraisers. Through these community events, the Tigers players and wives hope to encourage Tigers fans to step up to the plate and volunteer in the community.

Race for the Cure
The Tigers Wives along with the Detroit Tigers front office staff, family, and friends created a team to participate in the Komen Detroit Race for the Cure 5K walk/run at Comerica Park to raise awareness and funds supporting the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute. After participating in the walk/run, the Tigers Wives and the Detroit Tigers Race for the Cure Team presented the Tigers Wives "Rookie of the Year Award" to the largest new team at the Race for the Cure. The winning team received complimentary tickets to a Tigers game!
Variety - Feeding the Kids
The Tigers Wives joined Variety, The Children's Charity to pack backpacks with food for their Variety Feeds Kids program. During their visit wives packed balanced, nutritious meals for 1000 local elementary school children from low-income households who otherwise might not have food to eat over the weekend. Variety, The Children's Charity, is committed to helping kids all over the United States no matter the need.
I Ran the D
In partnership with the four professional sports teams to support FOX Sports Detroit's 10th April in the D campaign, the Tiger Wives participated in the I Ran the D 5K. The Tigers Wives joined the people of Detroit in the celebration of The District Detroit, Detroit Lions, Pistons, Red Wings and Tigers in their run/walk around Ford Field, Comerica Park, and the Little Caesars Arena finishing on the warning track of Comerica Park.
