Know Before You Go

Fans are strongly encouraged to arrive early and purchase parking in advance to avoid delays.

Parking lots typically open 2 hours prior to the scheduled start of the game. Please check the “Know Before You Go” email to confirm lot opening times for your specific game. Parking transactions are ONLY conducted by credit card with official staff within lots.

Please note that street closures and changes to traffic patterns are to be expected on game days. It is strongly recommended that you map your route before heading to the ballpark.

Gates to the ballpark open 90 minutes prior to the first pitch. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to allow for entry and security measures.

Clear single compartment tote bags (12” x 12” x 6” or smaller), clutch purses (9" x 5" x 2" or smaller) and diaper bags when an infant is present are permitted to carry into the ballpark. No backpacks or other bags are allowed.

All White Sox tickets will be delivered digitally via the MLB Ballpark app. We encourage you to review your account and ensure all tickets appear as expected within the app before you arrive at Rate Field.

To avoid any delay entering the ballpark, fans should proactively reset their password before arriving at the game. For the best experience, use the latest version of the Ballpark app when accessing your tickets and ensure you log out of all MLB applications and log back in with your updated password. Remember that screenshots of your tickets will not be accepted.

Major League Baseball and the Chicago White Sox are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and enjoyable fan experience at Rate Field. If a guest is in need of assistance for any issue (medical, security, etc.), they are encouraged to use their mobile phone to anonymously text 773-754-4357 (HELP). A reply message will be sent to your phone by our Command Center personnel and the appropriate staff member will be dispatched to the appropriate location as needed. Do not engage in any unruly behavior, including obscene gestures, derogatory, vulgar, biased or abusive language, including betting related speech and behavior, directed at guests, venue personnel, players, umpires, officials, or anyone else.

Rate Field has a modern LED field light system that features a sequence of flashing lights that may affect guests who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy or other photosensitivities. Light shows take place approximately five minutes before first pitch, when the White Sox hit a home run, and after the White Sox win!
