About The Bird

The Oriole Bird hatched from a giant egg at Memorial Stadium on April 6, 1979, becoming the official mascot of the Baltimore Orioles. Since then, this featherweight fan favorite has entertained millions at Oriole Park at Camden Yards and at thousands of special appearances, earning a reputation as one of the most iconic mascots in all of sports.

In 2020, The Oriole Bird officially achieved mascot immortality, joining legendary characters like the Phillie Phanatic, Benny the Bull, and Big Red as a proud inductee into the Mascot Hall of Fame.
