Pete and Haley Alonso founded the Alonso Foundation in 2020 to be a voice for those who can't speak for themselves, focusing on youth, animal welfare, and veterans.

Announced by Jackson Holliday on June 11, for every home run that he and his teammates hit the rest of the season, the family will donate $500 to support pet therapy visits to MedStar Health facilities and its Child Life Program.
Pet therapy at MedStar Health is supported by Pets on Wheels. Year-round visits to all four MedStar Health hospitals in Baltimore bring a friendly connection and joy to patients and associates. The visits take place in a variety of hospital units, such as in-patient, behavioral health, and rehabilitation.
